Big Hunger: Strategic Solutions for Skagit County.

Keynote speaker Andy Fisher and stakeholder panel presentation after lunch. 

The gathering will convene food system stakeholders to benchmark food access work to address hunger in reference to the Skagit Food for Skagit People listening session findings and establish an inventory of current efforts.

Mr. Fisher is one of the founders of the community food security movement in the U.S. He will share perspectives from his new book titled Big Hunger: The Unholy Alliance between Corporate America and Anti-hunger groups that explores the nexus of anti-hunger efforts and longer term solutions to address food access.

All key players in the food system are welcome and invited to collaborate: eaters, growers, processors, waste management, consumers, anti-hunger advocates, and government food programs and distribution staff.
